We are seeking a Surface Land Administrator to support a leading utilities organization with a backlog of surface land work. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced land professional to step into a dynamic environment, support the Gas Pipeline team, and potentially transition into a longer-term role.
This will be a 3 month contract with potential for extension. Candidate must be located in Calgary or Edmonton and able to work on a hybrid model.
About the Role
You’ll provide support on a range of land administration tasks, primarily focused on surface land rights-of-way. The role offers flexibility in how skills are applied — whether your expertise is in contracts, land titles, or rights management, there is room to leverage your strengths.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, track, and process surface land agreements, rights-of-way, and related documentation.
- Interpret and apply contractual language in line with land and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams and field staff to support ongoing land requests and backlog.
- Conduct research in land titles and ensure proper documentation is filed and maintained.
- Support compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong experience in surface land rights-of-way and associated documentation.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contractual language.
- Previous experience in utilities, pipelines, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with land titles and regulatory processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
