Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Financial Services team on a 7-month hybrid contract. You’ll play a key role in financial reporting under IFRS, compliance, and internal controls—while also helping them transform how finance delivers value across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Deliver accurate, timely financial results and analytics to support key business decisions.
- Create, analyze, and optimize working papers, automating where possible.
- Mentor junior analysts and support Banking and Accounts Payable teams.
- Evaluate business cases and contracts to provide insight on accounting treatment, budget impacts, and financial risk.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting, compliance, and governance.
What you bring
- CPA designation (or nearing completion) plus 3–5 years’ progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and financial governance.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI) are an asset.
- Experience leveraging tech tools for automation and reporting improvements.
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Collaborative mindset, curiosity, and comfort navigating change.
