This role is starting ASAP until the end of November with potential for extension and is fully in office downtown.
Responsibilities:
- Assist new applicants in understanding licensing/certification requirements and processes under diverse legislation
- Receive and process eligibility and application forms
- Coordinate receipt of inspection reports, insurance, and corporate status information
- Review documentation for completeness and request additional information when necessary
- Problem-solve with stakeholders to obtain approvals and coordinate timelines
- Perform data entry and image capture for new facilities
- Ensure renewal license packages are generated and processed
- Enter data and capture images using relevant systems
- Verify data entry for Licensing Inspectors
- Ensure compliance with insurance, corporate status, and collateral approvals
- Provide information to funding bodies as required
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Respond to public inquiries and provide assistance
- Draft correspondence and perform word-processing tasks
- Assist with administrative duties such as mail distribution and meeting room bookings
- Perform FOIP searches and assist with record production
- Maintain unit information on SharePoint sites
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with licensing processes and regulations is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of Administrative experience (experience in the Government of Alberta is an asset)
- Customer service experience is also an asset
