Our client is a family owned, industry leader than has been operating in the Lower Mainland for over 40 years. They work on a mix of new build high rise towers, TI commercial projects and have a service division.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This role is specifically for the special projects division that includes commercial projects ranging from $100K – $2M. The projects range from commercial retrofits to EV charging stations and more. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a Red Seal Ticket and has experience either running their own company or working in a similar role.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role you will have the following duties:
- Estimate electrical scopes for special projects, including detailed takeoffs, budgeting, and proposal preparation.
- Manage full project lifecycle from award to close-out for multiple small to mid-sized electrical projects.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, general contractors, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
- Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee on-site field teams, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
- Track and manage project costs, change orders, and billing to ensure profitability.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Support and mentor junior estimators or coordinators as needed.
- Assist in business development by maintaining relationships with existing clients and pursuing new opportunities.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Red Seal Electrician ticket
- Experience working on commercial new build and TI projects.
- Proficient using software’s such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Accubid.
COMPENSATION
- $80,000 – $130,000 base salary
- Very competitive bonus structure
