Aplin is pleased to partner with our client to hire a Corporate Paralegal. In this role, based in Edmonton, you will be an integral part of a dynamic corporate paralegal team, providing essential support to lawyers and clients. To succeed in this position, you must have at least 5 years’ experience in a corporate paralegal capacity and be comfortable handling a diverse range of tasks. Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Functions:
- Prepare corporate record documents and resolutions and effect CORES filings
- Extensive contact with personnel of various law firms and government entities in relation to Alberta, Federal and extra-provincial corporate matters
- Responsible for keeping up to date on all new government and corporate registry policies and research Acts/Regulations
- Create and maintain Corporate Records
Requirements:
- Paralegal/Legal Assistant certification preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Experience with ALF an asset
- 5-7 years and direct work experience in a corporate paralegal capacity
- CORES Levels III required
- Critical thinking, analysis, and research skills are essential
- Ability to work within/under deadlines and independently
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion; knowledge of data privacy laws.
- Superior interpersonal skills to interact with employees, lawyers, clients, departments, external agencies and work as a team player
- Proficient in recording time and billing of matters
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Strong customer service orientated
