We’re working with a confidential real estate investment firm to support their search for a Corporate Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in corporate accounting and an interest in U.S. real estate to join a high-performing, collaborative finance team based in North Vancouver.
About the Opportunity
This role supports full-cycle corporate accounting and reporting across a variety of entities, including joint ventures and limited partnerships. You’ll be involved in institutional reporting, investor distributions, property acquisition support, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting for corporate entities
- Perform bank reconciliations, review payables, and monitor cashflow
- Support onboarding and accounting for new U.S. property acquisitions
- Help review acquisition reports and complete purchase price allocations
- Track and post incoming investor funds, ensuring accuracy across accounts
- Maintain investor data, ownership percentages, and capital roll forward reports in Yardi
- Assist with annual, refinance, and preferred investor distributions
- Support corporate AR processes, including invoicing and transaction entries
- Contribute to audit prep, institutional reporting, and ongoing accounting process enhancements
- Participate in ad hoc projects and accounting research as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA in progress is an asset)
- 1–2 years of experience in corporate or public practice accounting
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and preparation of year-end working papers
- Exposure to commercial or residential real estate accounting preferred
- Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Motivated to learn and thrive in a fast-moving, team-based environment
Compensation:
- $65,000–$85,000 (Dependent on experience)
