We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented, personable, and self-motivated Administrative Support Specialist for a temporary opportunity within the Government of Alberta. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to the successful rollout of a new application system.

This is an in-office position (downtown Edmonton or downtown Calgary) for a 3-month term starting July 14th.
Working hours will be 8:15 am – 1:15 pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing application submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information.
- Respond to operator inquiries and liaise with internal teams to address questions or issues as they arise.
- Draft clear and professional emails and meeting invitations to coordinate sessions with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform minor administrative tasks to support the broader team, including physical file management and triaging administrative requests.
- Assist with data analysis, report tracking, and follow-ups on outstanding submissions.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of administrative experience.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to recognize when to escalate issues or loop in the appropriate contacts.
- Highly organized and self-reliant — able to manage shifting priorities and work independently within a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Professional, approachable, and adaptable personality, comfortable working in a government or public sector setting.
