Our client, located in Acheson, Alberta, is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their senior management team. This role will provide strategic HR leadership, support organizational objectives, and develop comprehensive people solutions to drive business success. The ideal candidate will excel at building strong relationships, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and have proven experience working in unionized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual HR goals, initiatives, and priorities aligned with organizational objectives.
- Assess workforce needs and organizational requirements through processes such as succession planning and turnover analysis.
- Update job profiles, develop recruitment strategies for upcoming vacancies, and oversee the full-cycle recruitment and selection process.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee development initiatives, including performance management, talent management, and learning & development programs.
- Organize and support the deployment of the company’s annual engagement survey.
- Assist with labor relations matters, including union interactions and collective bargaining negotiations, as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, code of ethics, and compensation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related Human Resources discipline; CPHR designation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources Generalist capacity.
- Demonstrated experience working within unionized environments with strong labor relations expertise.
- Ability to travel to various business units as needed; a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
