Benefits & Perks:
- 100-120K annual base, commensurate with experience
- Health/Dental benefits paid 100% by employer, 3% RRSP, Life Insurance, STD, LTD
- 2 weeks' vacation + 9 personal days
- Reporting directly to the VP Operations, you will have one direct report (Health and Safety Coordinator in the St-Albert plant)
- Monitor and recommend best practices, policies, and procedures related to Environment, Health & Safety (about 40% floor time)
- Ensure compliance with all environment and OHS-related practices and policies (legislative and internal)
- Hands-on facilitation of the Joint Health & Safety Committee as an advisor/leader
- Leads the Ergonomic Assessment efforts/committee
- Ensure third-party safety orientation and compliance (drivers, contractors, and guests)
- Ensure investigation, root? cause analysis, employee review/retraining, and the following? up of any identified action items for all safety-related accidents and incidents
- Accountable for the WCB process and safe return to work planning
- Responsible for the Health & Safety budget
- Post-secondary diploma
- 3-5 years experience in Health and Safety management or supervisory capacity
- Working knowledge of the relevant environment and OHS provincial legislation
- Travel to the St-Albert facility as required or directed by VP Operations (frequency estimated at less than twice a year)
