Our well known, global client, is seeking a sharp, strategic business partner to join our operations team as a Manager, Finance & Commercial Risk in Phoenix. This is a rare opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, finance, contracts, and risk.
This role is embedded across the full project lifecycle—from bidding to close-out—working directly with operations leaders, legal, and insurance teams to drive performance, manage exposure, and influence strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy and risk evaluation across district projects
- Support estimating, bidding, and project delivery teams with real-time financial and contract expertise
- Review and negotiate contracts, advise on insurance, bonding, and claims
- Monitor project financial health, receivables, and cash flow
- Help build efficient, scalable practices that align with business growth and operational goals
- Partner with internal teams to assess exposure, mitigate risks, and support dispute resolution
Requirements:
- 10+ years of finance and/or commercial risk experience
- Strong background in contract negotiation, insurance, and project risk
- Solid operational finance experience (not just accounting)
- Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred
- Experience in construction or infrastructure industries highly valued
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and communication skills
