As a Registration Assessor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of the registration and licensing processes. You will be responsible for reviewing applications, advising registrants and pharmacy proprietors, and supporting the overall administration of pharmacy licensure and related programs. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and can problem-solve within a regulatory environment.

Responsibilities 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries related to registration and licensing from the public and registrants.
  • Advise potential and existing registrants, pharmacy proprietors, and licensees on program requirements, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Independently resolve registration and licensing questions or concerns, providing clear guidance on next steps.
  • Assess and analyze registration applications for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other related roles, verifying credentials and required documentation.
  • Review and evaluate pharmacy licensure applications, ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation, including floor plans and application materials.
  • Process annual renewals and address any deficiencies for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacies.
  • Analyze registrant changes such as name, employment, and registration type, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Administer and support structured practical training (SPT) and jurisprudence exam programs, helping registrants with questions and issues.
  • Coordinate and execute professional declaration audits, escalating non-compliant cases.
  • Support internal trade agreements by assessing and processing requests for letters of standing.
  • Oversee renewal processes, working with IT and other departments to coordinate system updates and revisions to forms and website content.
  • Monitor compliance with registration and licensure policies, ensuring adherence to requirements for licensee status, staff changes, etc.
  • Contribute to process improvements, website content revisions, and systems enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date registrant and pharmacy records, ensuring proper file management and documentation retention.
  • Provide support across departments, assisting with extract processes, reports, and ad-hoc information requests.
  • ???????Offer occasional coverage for team members during absences, maintaining team continuity.
Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree in business administration, or equivalent experience.

  • At least two years of experience in a similar regulatory or administrative role.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies or issues within complex systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle inquiries effectively and explain policies clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Proficient in technical systems; able to work within custom software tailored to the regulatory environment.

  • Able to independently manage a portfolio of applications while knowing when to seek assistance or escalate issues.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, particularly when navigating complex or intricate processes.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance with established policies.

  • Prior experience in a regulatory body or a similar compliance-driven role is preferred but not required.
