A leading organization in Calgary is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in financial reporting, compliance, and team management. The successful candidate will play a key role in strategic decision-making and process improvements within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
  • Implement and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits as required.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and drive process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • CPA designation
  • A minimum 3 years in a leadership role in a public practice firm
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS or ASPE and Canadian tax regulations.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Understanding of  QuickBooks Caseware and Jazzit software's and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
