About the Opportunity:
As an Intermediate/Senior Real Estate Paralegal/Conveyancer, you’ll have the opportunity to manage your own file load and work closely with both clients and the firm’s legal team. You’ll also serve as a resource for junior staff, sharing your knowledge and providing guidance on complex matters. This role offers a diverse range of residential and commercial real estate transactions, making it perfect for someone looking for a dynamic and growing practice.

About the Position:
Your key duties will include:
  • Receiving and reviewing instructions from realtors and lenders
  • Conducting due diligence and obtaining applicable searches
  • Liaising with other parties, including clients, purchasers, solicitors, and financial institutions
  • Drafting correspondence, security documents, and various legal documents
  • Managing all aspects of closings, including scheduling, coordinating receipt of closing documents and funds, reviewing final documentation, and conducting title searches
  • Preparing final reporting and completing final due diligence
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial real estate, banking, financing, and lending transactions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant procedures, statutes, rules, and regulations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work professionally with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple files with attention to detail and organization
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with lawyers and staff
  • Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with e-conveyance, iManage, and Adobe is an asset
Compensation:
  • $70,000 - $90,000 base per annum (based on experience)
