Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of designers to create user-centric experiences that drive measurable business impact.
- Define and shape the UX vision and strategy for the website, fostering innovation and growth.
- Translate business objectives into engaging, design-driven projects that enhance user experience.
- Champion design excellence by establishing style guides, asset libraries, and process optimizations.
- Oversee design sprints, prioritize high-impact projects, and manage workflows while ensuring tools remain up to date.
- Develop and manage project plans, aligning design objectives with timelines and team resources.
- Maintain design quality and consistency by refining best practices and improving processes.
- Provide constructive feedback, pushing creative boundaries through thoughtful critique.
- Mentor and empower the design team, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
- Bridge business goals with user needs, translating requirements into intuitive, seamless experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, QA, and Research teams to optimize implementation.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define and execute a UX/Design strategy and vision.
- Engage stakeholders proactively, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to guide and mentor design teams.
- Post-secondary education in a design-related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or web design roles.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse UI/UX designs across multiple devices and platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring polished, high-quality design deliverables.
- Proven track record of using design to drive business objectives and enhance user engagement.
- Extensive knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, user research, storyboarding, wireframing, concept design, and prototyping.
- In-depth understanding of modern web design best practices and trends.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Experience in a SaaS environment is a valuable asset.
