Controller

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller seeking to advance their career in the mining sector!

Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is a well-established mining company with over a decade of industry experience. They are currently seeking a Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a designated CPA with over 7 years of relevant experience.
 
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CFO, the controller will be responsible, but not limited to:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, MD&A documents, annual working papers and IFRS accounting memos.
• Oversee and prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Assist the team with annual budgets and calculate covenant ratios
• Work in collaboration with the external auditors for year-end audits.
• Assist in the analysis of complex accounting issues.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team and streamline internal controls.
• Work in collaboration with the CFO for due diligence and tax planning work
• Ad hoc projects as needed  

Qualifications:

• Designated CPA
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Public practice experience is an asset
• Mining experience is an asset
• 5 days in an office role.

Benefits & Perks:

• Salary: $130,000 to $140,000
