Exciting Opportunity Alert! Aplin has teamed up with a prestigious national law firm, and we’re on the lookout for a talented Senior Corporate Paralegal with Cores 2 or 3. This is in their Edmonton office, and they offer 2 days’ work from home once trained (if preferred).
You will collaborate closely with various members of the firm, handling a diverse array of corporate transactions. You will be at the heart of it all, along with your team.

Responsibilities:
- Incorporate and organize Alberta and Federal corporations, societies, and not-for-profit companies.
- Assist lawyers with amalgamations, arrangements, reorganizations, and amendments.
- Registration of limited partnerships, domestic and extra-provincial.
- Registration of, and preparing and filing amendments for Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Partnerships
- Preparation of various corporate and tax resolutions and supporting documents
- Preparation of dividend resolutions.
- Minute book review.
- Entering entities in a corporate database and document management system.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a corporate paralegal, completion of a paralegal diploma or certificate is an asset
- Experience in all aspects of corporate work required
- Alberta CORES II or III accreditation is required
- Experience with ALF, and APPRES accreditation preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with a corporate database is such as ALF is an asset.
- Dedicated to continued process improvement.
- Advanced computer skills with PDF, MS Word and document managing systems
