Please keep in mind that relocation is required for any candidates outside of the Kingsville area. 

As the Category Manager of Strategic Sourcing for Direct Packaging Materials, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies to optimize the procurement of resin, labels, and corrugated materials. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings initiatives while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve company objectives.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for resin, labels, and corrugated materials in alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for resin, labels, and corrugated materials, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
  • Continuously monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement manufacturing, and finance, to ensure sourcing strategies support business needs and objectives
  • Lead supplier relationship management efforts, fostering positive relationships and addressing any issues or concerns promptly
  • Drive initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and mitigate risks related to resin and corrugated materials
  • Analyze spending data and procurement metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives related to resin and corrugated materials, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Mentor and develop sourcing team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals and objectives
