Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage the entire procure-to-pay (P2P) process for goods and services, with a focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align purchasing activities with project requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any discrepancies or issues to maintain optimal supplier relationships.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in all procurement activities.
- Manage procurement budgets and maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and contracts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support inventory management by ensuring appropriate stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or buying, including expertise in MRO procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay (P2P) process for both goods and services.
- Advanced proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- A Master’s degree or professional designations such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) are considered assets.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in procurement.
