In this role you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to enable them to keep their production levels meeting their sales orders. You will also be responsible for ensuring the rest of the organization is aware of the progress of a sales order from sale to shipment. The Role

  Receiving:
  • Overseeing the unloading of goods from trucks
  • Inspecting and counting incoming goods against invoices or delivery notes
  • Recording and rejecting any damaged goods
  • Unpacking and routing goods to the appropriate storage area
  • Operating the forklift or hand truck where required to load, unload and store goods
  • Updating stock levels in our NetSuite [ERP] system
  Shipping:
  • Determining the method of shipment and preparing bills, invoices, and other dispatch documentation
  • Contacting carriers to make arrangements for pick-up and issue instructions for delivery
  • Assembling containers and packing goods to be shipped
  • Overseeing the loading of products
  • Entering carrier information and updating NetSuite to bill the customer
  • Filing all shipping inventory paperwork
  • Verifying and entering goods receipts into NetSuite
  Supporting:
  • Assisting production and the accounting teams to resolve any internal inventory issues
  • Answering calls and emails in relation to customer shipments and informing the Production Supervisor
  • Updating NetSuite and issuing new paperwork to process customer returns
  • Providing shipping information to the sales team
Requirements
  • High school diploma required or suitable experience in performing administrative duties
  • Experience with information systems and ERP systems ideally NetSuite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High levels of both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize
  • Understanding of lean operating principles
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Logical thinking
  • Forklift, reach truck experience
