Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Legal and Regulatory Register: Create and manage a comprehensive register of UK and Canadian legal and regulatory requirements relevant to RCD, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate.
- Cross-Mapping of Standards: Map Canadian legal and regulatory requirements to identified UK and European standards within the RCD database to streamline compliance efforts.
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary point of contact with the central Governance team and RCD project teams to manage and coordinate amendments to current legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support Delivery Teams: Collaborate closely with delivery teams and technical authorities (TAs) to confirm, identify, and document applicable legal and regulatory requirements, along with compliance evidence.
- Evidence Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive body of evidence to demonstrate that all applicable legal and regulatory requirements are met, or equivalence is achieved.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in compliance processes and procedures to support ongoing adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of Canadian legislative structures and their operations.
- Strong knowledge of maritime legal and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Progress toward professional certification with a relevant regulatory or professional body.
