The successful Senior Buyer will be responsible for complete value chain evaluation of supply opportunities for the organization. This will include collecting market intelligence, forecasting, sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, management review, administering terms & conditions and contract creation while maintaining compliance with company's policies.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and report market intelligence
• Develop new sources of supply
• In conjunction with company stakeholders review supply and process opportunities and prepare procurement plans in support of operational initiatives
• Review specifications, descriptions, work scopes; recommend improvements and terms and conditions to support
• Review submissions for compliance, prepare bid summary and evaluation spreadsheets
• Obtain quotes, negotiate with vendors, source items and follow delivery
• Create, maintain and update product and vendor information
• Receive and review requirement requisitions
• Lead and facilitate meetings with suppliers for procurement planning or resolution
• Scheduled On-Call

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Procurement role with strong background in sourcing and negotiation
• SCMP designation or bachelor’s degree
• Manufacturing facility experience would be considered an asset
• Skilled in transacting data in ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience considered an asset
• Highly experienced in Microsoft Office programs and able to utilize them effectively
• Attention to detail, independent problem solving skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Logical, highly organized, focused and able to multi-task effectively
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Self-motivated, team player with a helpful and positive attitude

• Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm
• In Office, Full time, permanent opportunity
• Fast paced environment
