Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to hire a Project Manager for their growing operations in Brantford, Ontario.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Project Manager has responsibility for establishing, overseeing, evaluating, and driving Project direction for all active Sales Orders using EVM. As the direct interface and single point of contact for customers, the Project Manager is responsible for stakeholder engagement by utilizing internal resources in Engineering, Quality, and Management to accomplish project goals and mitigate risk.

Key Contacts: The Project Manager works closely with the Production Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager & Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:
  • Setting/maintaining strategic project direction and priorities based on technical and project requirements.
  • Maintaining adherence to Quality standards (CSA N299, ASME, TSSA, etc.).
  • Delivery of projects on time and under budget.
  • Weekly, bi-weekly & monthly reporting to customers for active projects.
  • Customer project accrual forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Customer commercial support on an ongoing basis (Change orders, monthly scorecard, monthly commercial management meeting & new bids).
  • Customer order entry in the Navision System & approval of all new/revised orders based on the Quality manual.
  • Monthly Invoices following completion of customer milestones.
  • Monthly Cash-flow maintenance and financial completion reporting for internal resources.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or technical diploma in Engineering or another applicable related field, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • PMP, C.E.T., or P.Eng designation is considered to be an asset.
  • Computer literacy as applied to project management (MS Excel, MS Project, Word, Outlook).
  • 5 years minimum project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a production-based environment.
  • Well-versed in financial management, regulatory compliance, and planning specific to Precision Machining, Welding, NDE & metrology.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing & continuous improvement concepts, tools, and methodology.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a project-based, agile, change management environment.
  • Experience managing projects in excess of $5 million.
