Reporting to the Lead, Plant Continuous Improvement, the Process / process control engineer is responsible for leading process improvements that drive value. Using your understanding of processing, you will help with plant optimization and support the design, implementation and continued operation of control strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Analyze processes, equipment and review key targets to make recommendations on improved operating methods and optimization opportunities
- Develop control strategies for new and existing equipment and work with the automation team to get them implemented
- Support alarm management
- Improve process control and automation by evaluating new technology and recommending solutions
- Support plant Model Predictive Control implementation, adoption and sustainment
- Degree in Process Control, Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering
- Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); the will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration
- Five to eight years of technical experience in a related processing environment with an understanding of process controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows
- Experience with PLC/DCS programming, regulatory and advanced control would be considered an asset
