• Pay rate expectations: $33 - $41 per hour
• Immediate one year term role as a Health Policy Specialist 
• Hybrid role located in Winnipeg 

Responsibilities

• Engage with health care stakeholders to advance health care systems in the cardiac community 
• Provide leadership and support to public awareness and education efforts 
• Support advocacy and government relations activities 
• Promote health education and awareness initiatives 
• Stakeholder engagement with partner organizations 
• Support Indigenous health and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives 
• Engage with people who have lived experiences 
• Provide ongoing collaboration and participation in various government advocacy meetings to advance Heart and Stroke Health Policies 

Qualifications

• University degree in a Health related field is required 
• 3 plus years of experience working in Health Policy including experience advocating for health policy and systems changes 
• Experience relevant to cardiovascular health is an asset 
• Experience working Government departments is an asset 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment handling confidential information
