Aplin has partnered with a well-funded Edmonton not-for-profit organization to hire a Manager, Corporate Services.  Reporting to the Executive Director, this role oversees the accounting/finance, facilities management, human resources, and compliance/risk management for this small, well run organization.

Responsibilities:
Accounting/Finance:
  • Oversee all aspects of daily accounting
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses for the senior management team
  • Liaise with external auditor
  • Develop/maintain internal financial policies
Human Resources:
  • Manage payroll, benefits admin, recruitment, job descriptions, onboarding and compliance with relevant legislation.
Facilities Management:
  • Manage premises leases, equipment leases, and vendor relationships
Compliance and Risk Management: 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies
  • Assess risks at the enterprise level and identify policy gaps 
  • Act as the organization's Privacy Officer
Qualifications:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation required
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in both finance and operations
  • Knowledge of human resources legislation, policies and procedures
  • Sound analysis, judgment and decision-making skills
