Our client is looking for an HR Manager, Operations to ensure efficient and effective employee-focused HR Support for the organization. The HR Operations Manager will focus on labor relations strategies, performance and efficiency enhancement, compensation analysis and change management approaches. Experience working in a unionized environment with strong labour relations experience is required.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the HR Director, the duties are
  • Design and implement HR strategies and programs to include workforce and compensation planning, talent management and employee development
  • Work with the HR team to improve, develop and implement effective programs and processes to develop and retain employees
  • Lead labor relations strategy with the goal of fostering positive relations with unions involved
  • Develop and maintain proactive relationships with Union representatives and industry professionals in the field of labor and employee relations
  • Support the HR Director implement recruitment and onboarding strategies
  • Provide guidance on implementing HR best practices
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and code of ethics
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in Business Administration and/or a Human Resources related discipline
  • CPHR Designation is an asset
  • 8+ years of HR Generalist experience with 3+ years of HR leadership experience
  • Able to travel; valid driver’s license and car to effectively support the travel requirements of the job
  • Hybrid work model
  • Union experience is required
