Aplin has partnered with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Logistics Group Lead to join their team in Moose Jaw, SK! You would be responsible for all warehousing and logistical requirements of the Accredited Maintenance Organization in accordance with approved procedures.

Responsibilities include supervising shipping and receiving, warehousing and distribution of parts and supplies, managing export control, and responsibility for tool control and ground support equipment requirements. 

This role requires the successful candidate to work 5 days a week onsite in Moose Jaw, SK and relocation packages are available.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise shipping, receiving, warehousing and distribution functions
  • Establishing and maintaining inventory and inspection schedules
  • Manage import and export control and controlled goods requirements and act as the export control officer
  • Supervise the tool control function, including the management of calibrated tools and other special consideration items, including inspection cycles and provisioning of special-order supplies in accordance with airworthiness regulations.
  • Supervise Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance and support, including managing the inspection cycles and preventative maintenance program
  • Inventory management
  • Administrative duties, including procedure and process review and amendment, internal auditing, QHSE policy compliance, vendor and security approvals
Qualifications:
  • College Diploma, with preference toward a logistics or transportation specialization
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years experience in a transportation/operational/distribution environment
  • Experience working in a unionized warehouse environment
  • Experience working with Export Controls including ITAR, EAR and Controlled Goods regulations
  • Experience leading through change management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in the Aviation industry under airworthiness regulations is considered an asset
  • Computer literate with competency in SAP, MS Office, Maintenix
  • Transportation of dangerous goods and HAZMAT
  • Budget management; and Office operations.

  • Discretion and confidentiality are key for this position
