Benefits & Perks:
- $48,000-$58,000/year
- Manage collections, following up on overdue accounts and identifying trends that may lead to delinquency
- Ensure customers stay within payment terms
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve issues
- Prepare and send account statements to customers
- Reconcile customer accounts when necessary
- Process and post payments (cheques, credit cards, EFT)
- Scan cheques and prepare deposits as required
- Conduct credit checks for internal staff on shipments
- Process occasional client refunds
- Perform occasional bank runs
- Support other accounting duties as needed
- Minimum 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, ideally in a multi-company environment
- Experience in the freight or customs brokerage industry is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in handling AR collections
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Some knowledge of the transportation or customs brokerage sector is beneficial
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (applications for LMIA or Express Entry will not be considered)
- A reliable vehicle is required, as public transit is not available to our office location
