We have partnered with a long-standing client in search of a Technical Sales Representative to cover Saskatoon and northern Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have sales experience (preferably in the industrial, mining and municipal worlds), technical aptitude and above average communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the manufacturers, engineering firms, and customers regarding product information while traveling to their work sites
- Develop and maintain customers in order to increase market share
- Respond immediately to warranty issues, potential customer problems, or any other questions that might arise from the products the company represents
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all issues and or complaints are resolved in a timely and friendly manner
- Understanding of market trends and intelligence while sharing of this knowledge with colleagues and suppliers
- Maintain product knowledge and reach out to the technical experts for additional sales support
- Motivated self-starter committed to maintaining current clients and developing new prospects in order to grow sales in the territory
- Mechanical aptitude is important – preference given to those with a mechanical engineering or technical background, particularly in pumps and valves
- Superior listening and communication skills
- Relationship builder capable of being the trusted advisor to the clients
- Highly organized professional capable of prioritizing tasks
- Team first mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and computer skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
