Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to hire a Litigation Support Paralegal based in Edmonton. We are looking for a full-time tech-savvy individual to assist in a very busy and challenging environment in the area of Insurance Defence.

  • Collect and analyze documentation to determine privilege and relevance for court and records production, including preparation of Affidavits of Records.
  • Manage documents within an electronic database: import documents, prepare production sets, export production sets for exchange with opposing counsel, import and work with transcripts, and handle other file management requirements.
  • Review transcripts and maintain statuses with respect to undertakings.
  • Create and maintain detailed management of documents as required.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including office and file management.
  • Sound knowledge of Eclipse (experience with other litigation database software is an asset).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defence litigation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various working styles.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English fluently.
