Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a large corporation to hire a Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting & External Reporting. This role will involve conducting detailed and complex analysis and research of financial information and other non-financial data to support those activities.  You will guide and liaise with different Finance stakeholders in order to gather information to support the results of their analysis.  You will also conduct analysis to ensure adherence to accounting policies, practices, internal controls, identify deviations and make recommendations for changes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct the quarterly IFRS Financial Statements for Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
  • Complete the Consolidated IFRS Financial statements included in CBC/Radio-Canada’s Annual Report.
  • Manage detailed and complex analysis of financial and non-finanical data for the annual audit and quarterly procedures.
  • Adhere to quarterly and Annual Compliance with the Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
  • Complete accounting and the financial disclosures for complex accounting transactions or new IFRS Accounting Standards or IFRS Sustainability Standards.
  • Prepare presentations prepared for Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
Qualifications: 
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field, demonstrating progression in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial reporting and accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret and reorganize complex data and information for clear and concise presentation to all management levels.
  • Skillful in making written recommendations for senior management.
  • Effective collaborator with various management levels and a strong team player.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
