We have partnered with a growing construction management company for an exciting opportunity!  Our client is looking to hire a talented Architectural Technologist for their office in Langley, BC.

Responsible for developing site concepts, creating tenant improvement unit concepts, and producing 3D renderings for proposals. Expertise in standard design practices, including industrial buildings, commercial structures, mid to high-density residential complexes, mixed-use buildings, vehicle/truck turning analysis, urban road/parking/landscape/environment design, tilt-up construction, and parkade design.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop site concepts for potential projects.
  • Create tenant improvement unit concepts.
  • Produce high-quality 3D renderings for proposals.
  • Creating 3D models.
  • Communicate with clients, consultants and team members for tasks and project design.
  • Responsibilities may also include overseeing construction projects, coordinating and inspecting the work done by others, and interpreting design requirements to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
 
Requirements:
  • Architectural technology diploma/certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in design concepts, 3D rendering, and  standard design practices.
  • Must have Strong knowledge  of the BC Building Code, accessibility regulations, city bylaws, OCP (Official Community Plan), neighborhood concept plans, open data, and city GIS (Geographic Information System).
  • Detailed-oriented.
  • Client -focused  and enjoys collaborating with teams.
  • Proficient understanding of standard design practices in various architectural domains.
  • Ability to adapt to changing design options and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D, ReCap, and integrating Nearmaps into Civil 3D.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Enscape, Excel, Word, and printing construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in Revit, including expertise in standard construction drawing setup, schedules, templates, design options, work sharing, views, space analysis, TOPO design, File setup for AutoCAD construction take off and linking files to Revit project.
  • Microsoft Teams, Very good English Communication skills  and task planning.

This is an in-office, fulltime opportunity. The client offers a salary from $ 70,000 to $ 80,000 per year plus benefits such as  4 weeks’ vacation, Extended benefits, Gym - w/ personal trainer.
