Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with a growing industrial business in the search for a Bookkeeper. Reporting to the General Manager, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced office professional to work with a growing organization.

  • Maintain up-to-date financial records
  • Generate invoices and statements on a bi-weekly basis
  • Track accounts receivable and payable
  • Provide project and company financial reporting on a regular basis
  • Assist with cash flow projections
  • Assist with company financial management
  • Responsible for paying vendors
  • Responsible for payroll (submit to third party)  
  • Track employee holidays, sick days and banked time
  • Participate in the review and approval of employee timesheets on a weekly basis
  • Participate in the review and approval of employee expenses
  • Assist an external accountant with year-end reporting
  • Add journal entries as directed by external accountant
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly
  • Monitor income versus corporate tax instalments and adjust instalment amounts as necessary
  • Participate in special projects as assigned
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in full cycle accounting
  • Post-secondary education in accounting is an asset
  • Previous experience with Sage50 is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accounting, mathematical and computer skills
