Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Winnipeg-based company to hire a Project Coordinator for an immediate temporary role for a long-term remote opportunity. 

Benefits & Perks:
  • Immediate opportunity as a Project Coordinator for a Government client
  • Initial 6-month term role that may extend from 18 to 24 months 
  • Preference to work onsite in Winnipeg however they are open to remote work and/or qualified remote candidates to be considered
  • Assist Project Managers with daily requirements including scheduling, attending and planning meetings 
  • Document and follow up on action items from meetings 
  • Track important deadlines to ensure important timelines are met 
  • Undertake project tasks as required and maintain all required documentation 
  • Support project managers in identifying and managing issues and risks as well as planning and tracking project activities using collaboration management tools 
  • Create and maintain detailed supporting documentation as required 
  • Identify and assist with setting up tools to be used by the project 
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Minimum of 4 plus years of experience as a Project Coordinator 
  • Experience providing program co-ordination support for a large, diverse program with an established program management framework
  • Experience tracking project/program budget and schedule
  • Experience with coordinating and contributing to reporting and briefing materials
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills  along with strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient organization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and think ahead
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and delivering high-profile complex initiatives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, MS Office including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Project Management best practices
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator in Public Sector
  • Certification from a project management accreditation body such as PMI (Project Management Institute) or PRINCE2
