Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively disseminate government policies and initiatives to the public.
  • Draft, edit, and review press releases, speeches, and other official communication materials.
  • Serve as a primary spokesperson, responding to media inquiries and coordinating press conferences.
  • Monitor media coverage and public opinion, providing analysis and strategic advice to senior officials.
  • Collaborate with various government departments to ensure consistent messaging and communication across all channels.
  • Manage social media accounts and digital communication platforms, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
  • Organize and participate in public engagement events, community meetings, and outreach programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant communication policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on communication activities and their impact.
  • Train and support government officials and staff in effective communication practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Must have ARTS experience
  • Proven experience in public communication, media relations, or a similar role, preferably within a government or public sector context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, procedures, and public sector operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic communication plans.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and ethical guidelines governing public communication and media relations.
