Our client, a prominent heavy manufacturer serving the nuclear, oil, and gas markets, is seeking a President to lead their organization in Southwestern Ontario. With a reputation built over two decades, our client is a trusted premier manufacturer of nuclear waste containers and primary pressure boundary components, serving major nuclear power plant operators and nuclear waste processors in North America.

Job Overview: The President will be responsible for all operations and functions of the company, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This role encompasses complete authority and responsibility to manage the company ethically and profitably, ensuring its growth and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the long-range business strategies of the company.
  • Oversee the development of new business opportunities and market penetration.
  • Approve all capital and line-item budgets and establish spending authorities.
  • Establish, enforce, and regularly review all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the company maintains appropriate organizational infrastructure and skill sets to meet corporate objectives.
  • Maintain a competitive compensation and benefits program.
  • Foster effective working relationships with key individuals within government and industry agencies.
  • Participate in Board meetings to report on all aspects of company performance and business plan implementation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive developments.
  • Contribute to other advisory roles as deemed appropriate.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of senior management level experience in a related industry.
  • Excellent business acumen and financial analysis management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of and reputation within the nuclear utility industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, staffing, organizational development, and profit and loss management skills.
