Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with a premier Winnipeg law firm in the search for a Legal Assistant. We seek a detail-oriented and experienced legal professional to support a Partner and an Associate. The ideal candidate will have previous legal administration experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time permanent role based on a 35-hour work week.

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of all court documents.
  • Manage calendars for hearings, arbitrations, and other case-related deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and compile data.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
  • Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Communicate with clients, lawyers, courts and various tribunals.
  • Ensure all case documents are indexed and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with general office duties as assigned.
  • Post-secondary education in legal administration.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a legal assistant role, ideally with a focus on litigation or labour and employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
