The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in identifying sales opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products and services.

Responsibilities include:

Customer and Account Management:
  • Cultivating positive client relationships and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Mobilizing internal resources to address customer concerns while minimizing disruption and costs.
  • Assisting the team (engineers, architects etc) with product applications through layout data and specifications.
Portfolio Growth and Retention:
  • Meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Leading negotiations that align with company strategy and customer needs.
  • Identifying and pursuing potential customers to support strategic growth objectives.
  • Analyzing customer needs and securing business through application of company products and services.
  • Working with the client and team on maintenance agreements and system updates.
Process Management and Administration:
  • Developing sales proposals and estimates.
  • Ensuring utilization of systems and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintaining customer information and files according to procedures.
  • Collaborating with Contract Control on sales contracts.
  • Managing accounts receivable.
  • Participating in professional development programs to enhance product knowledge and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Preference for a Canadian university degree, or a college diploma in business or engineering also considered.
  • Experience in the full sales cycle, from initial contact, negotiations, closing sales, contract management, and ongoing account management.
  • 2+ years of sales experience acceptable, with a strong work ethic required.
  • Technical background preferred, with the ability and willingness to learn complex technical concepts on the job.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for diverse tasks essential.
  • Strong communication skills and outgoing personality crucial for effective customer service.
  • Internal drive for learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills necessary for developing innovative solutions and adapting to different situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, including pivot tables and Vlook-ups, advantageous.
