Boasting a workforce of 3,000+ employees and with ambitious growth on the horizon, our client is actively engaged in modernizing its technological frameworks. This entails a complete overhaul of their legacy systems, transitioning infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, embracing cutting-edge cloud platforms, refining application architecture, merging redundant applications, reconstructing data and business intelligence reporting from the ground up, and implementing robust cybersecurity protocols and top-tier support services. This transformative journey is meticulously planned across several years to revamp their operational landscape, ensuring they are aptly prepared for the significant expansion they anticipate.

One of the key roles they are looking to recruit is for an experienced Director or Senior Manager to oversee their Core Systems and Network Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for both managing a team of professionals responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of their core company systems and network infrastructure and being a contributing member of the team with a "roll up their sleeves" approach to dig in with the team to uncover hidden opportunities and efficiencies within the existing platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure management, team leadership, and project management, focusing on driving operational excellence and delivering business value.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of technologists responsible for the design, implementation, and support of core company systems and network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and roadmaps for core systems and network infrastructure to support the company's business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure that core systems and network infrastructure meet the needs of the organization.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of core company systems, including productivity and collaboration toolsets, networks and infrastructure, cloud resources, identity and authorization platforms and other critical systems.
  • Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, and routers, to ensure reliability, scalability, and security at a global scale.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for core systems and network infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance the reliability and security of core systems and network infrastructure.
  • Guide and mentor a team; fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure timely delivery of products and services and maximize value for the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in information systems and infrastructure management, with a focus on core systems and network infrastructure.
  • Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment including coaching, guiding, and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive results in a complex evolving environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, PMP) are a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company is highly desirable.
  • Industry or functional experience in Automotive or Retail is preferred.
Technical skills:
  • Core systems - Microsoft Technology Stack (M365, Azure Active Directory, Teams, etc.), Gmail Workspaces.
  • Cloud Infrastructure - Microsoft.
