Education & Experience: 
  • Graduate of an accredited legal assistant program
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience
  • Experience across various litigation areas is a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct court searches
  • Draft correspondence and court documents
  • Assist in pre-trial and trial preparation, maintaining trial binders and limitations
  • Prepare various litigation documents, including briefs and factums
  • Schedule applications and questioning
  • Manage lawyers' workflow, schedule meetings, and maintain calendars
  • Handle file management tasks: opening and closing files, photocopying, scanning, binder prep
  • Prepare accounts and time entries
  • Respond to inquiries from lawyers, assistants, and clients
  • Occasionally cover reception duties
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
