Human Resources Manager – 95K base + Car

Reporting to the President, the Manager of Human Resources will support the implementation of business strategies and initiatives that deliver on the organization's needs.   This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for the next step in their career!

  • Play a key role in developing and implementing strategies in the areas of talent development, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.
  • Identifying and advising on organizational needs that impact roles, people, and processes by partnering with business leaders in driving talent management strategies across the business.
  • Manage the full spectrum of hiring activities and processes, including developing forward-thinking HR recruiting practices, including the ongoing development of employer branding.
  • Oversee the onboarding of all new employees and continuously measure and assess the program’s effectiveness.
  • Support managers and employees through the full cycle of the annual Performance Management Process, ensuring consistent application and follow-through across all teams, and act as an advisor on performance issues.
  • Support managers and employees through professional development discussions, identifying resources, and providing employees with access to the required information/sources to help them grow in their roles.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all relevant employment-related legislation, educate managers and employees on HR policies, programs, and processes, and continuously monitor to ensure effective and current.
  • Proactively help to maintain strong, positive, and rewarding relationships with employees by managing all aspects of employee relations, and by effectively balancing the needs of employees and the organization.

  • 5-7 years of Human Resources experience; retail, hospitality, or similar industry an asset.
  • CHRP/L designation an asset.
  • University/College post-secondary in an area of specialty (Business, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, or other related field).
  • Knowledge of all provincial Employment/Labour Standards, and HR legal trends and practices.
  • Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation, creativity in problem-solving, and a passion for people.
  • Ability to be a strategic thinker, planner, influencer, and negotiator.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills with the ability to provide constructive and effective feedback and coaching.
  • Possesses the ability to establish rapport quickly, gain the respect and trust of others, and be sensitive to others' viewpoints and issues.
