Advance your career and join a top employer! Our client in Kingsville Ontario is looking for a Senior Manager of Maintenance, Repair and Operations to join their growing team.
 
As the Senior Manager of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management and optimization of maintenance, repair, and operations activities to support the organization's facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing MRO strategies, driving cost savings, improving efficiency, and ensuring the availability of critical assets. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of MRO best practices.

This is an on-site opportunity and candidates must be willing to work full time in Kingsville ON. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for maintenance, repair, and operations activities to support the organization's facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of quality parts, materials, and services for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms for MRO purchases.
  • Develop and maintain inventory management processes and systems to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and minimize carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and finance, to identify and prioritize MRO needs and initiatives.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and maximize asset lifespan.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to MRO activities, analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices in all MRO activities.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, innovations, and industry trends in maintenance and repair processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and manage the MRO budget, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive operational excellence in MRO operations.
Qualifications:
  • Academically qualified with a recognized university bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Science or Engineering. 
  • 5 to 10  Years  related experience in MRO.
  • Procurement/Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS or ISM would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Strives to take timely and effective action to complete tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exposure to market analytics and insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
