Enterprise Solutions Architect

Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to grow their team and bring in someone who will be responsible for the strategic and tactical management of a federated Enterprise Architecture function that covers the IFC profile.

This is a 6-month contract with the conversation to a permanent position available to candidates Canada-wide and is offered as fully remote. 

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation and improvement of the enterprise architecture practices, processes, governance, and compliance
• Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for a Global Enterprise Architecture guided by the overall Business and  IT strategy
• Define and maintain governance and compliance standards and policies
• Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
• Capture current state Architecture and establish future state Architecture vision for each domain, supporting the Business and IT strategy and vision
• Develop roadmaps for each domain to achieve this future state
• Utilize this roadmap as the basis to review and approve all Project designs, at the Design gate state of the Project lifecycle
• Understand, advocate, and promote the Enterprise Architecture vision and value proposition within the IT and business community
• Lead and facilitate research and assessment of new approaches and technologies for potential use within the organization
• Consult with infrastructure teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs
• Review and ensure the soundness of the proposed solutions of all major projects and its alignment with enterprise architecture

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in an information technology capacity
• 5+ years in IT strategic planning, enterprise, solution, or business architecture
• Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices, trends, and transformation
• Experience in establishing and chairing IFC architecture forums
• Experience in providing leadership on Technologic innovation in an enterprise
• Experience in working closely with IT PMO
• Experience in vendor management, contracts, and capacity planning in a hyper-growth environment
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions and the integration of acquired businesses
• Experience in the business/system/solution architecture.
• Experience with Oracle E-business finance
• Knowledgeable in IT solutions, trends in IT, and experience evaluating/implementing new tools and solutions
• Strong IFRS17 knowledge (emphasis on financial elements)
• Knowledge of SAS or Big Data is considered an asset
• Fully Bilingual in both French and English is a requirement
