As the Team Leader in Supply Chain, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager, offering leadership and oversight for Procurement and/or Contract Management activities across a potentially broad spectrum of scope, complexity, and risk. The role requires proficiency in both pre and post-contract management activities.

In this position, you will serve as a liaison and primary interface, responsible for balancing corporate and functional requirements, governance, and project or mission delivery needs and priorities.

Education: A post-secondary education in Business, Law, Engineering, Science, IT, or a Technical discipline is preferred. Additionally, a minimum of 10 years of progressive contracting experience, preferably in Procurements of Goods, Services, and/or Construction with a background in Project Management, subject to complex technical, engineering, and/or regulatory environments.

  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Exhibits effective analytical abilities to interpret data and develop strategies and tactics.
  • Certification or enrollment in professional development programs and/or associations such as the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) or the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
  • Functional knowledge of Canadian (Federal and Provincial) Contract Law aligned with the position's accountabilities.
  • Sound understanding and appreciation of ethical contracting and business conduct.
  • Proficiency with systems-based tools like the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exemplary organization and planning skills, emphasizing attention to detail and team collaboration.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality written documentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead, mentor, motivate, and align staff, internal customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning tools, including Oracle Purchasing and IProcurement modules, considered an asset.
