Yard Receiver

If you are a talented and experienced Yard Receiver, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! We have partnered with our Winnipeg-based client to hire the right individual to join their team!  This is a Monday to Friday, full time permanent position, located in the south end of Winnipeg.  It is a daytime position with some overtime, and applicants must have reliable transportation as our client is located outside of the city limits. Steel-toed safety boots are required for this role as well. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare receiving station for incoming deliveries
• Use machinery to unload product
• Put product away to designated bin location
• Record relevant information on internal receiving documents
• Transfer inventory from specified locations in a truck
• Assist with yard and warehouse organization and housekeeping
• Follow Health and Safety policies as outlined
• Other related tasks as required

Required Skills

• Class 3 license and air brake is an asset
• Previous experience working in a receiving environment is an asset
• Previous forklift experience is preferred, but training and certification will be provided
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated with positive attitude and the ability to work within a team environment
• Organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work long hours as needed and in outdoor setting
