Drafter

Key responsibilities include:

• Creation of shop drawings for composite aluminum panel(s), sheet metal cladding, standing seam metal roofs, and steel deck
• Material quantity take-offs for cut lists and material items Iist
• Submitting shop card layout packages for verification, orders, and shop fabrication
• Interpretation of Architectural & Structural IFC drawings
• PCN’s and RFI’s determinations
• Mark up drawings as noted by G.C.’s or Engineers
• Co-ordination of workflow with Project Markers and Estimators ensuring deadlines are being met
• On-demand sketches as required by Inspectors/Sales

Skills/Qualifications:

• Postsecondary in Engineering diploma program; preference for someone with an Architectural or mechanical background
• Proficiency with AutoCAD LT 2014 or newer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal supervision
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
