Join a top employer and advance your career. Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to hire an Assembly and Installation Fitter based in Moncton, New Brunswick to join their team!

Responsibilities:
  • Install components into deployable shelters.
  • Assist other departments including Paint / Prep, and Stock Keepers, as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide suggestions and input to resolve any unexpected issues or challenges.
  • Fitting of machined parts, sheet metal brackets, pipework, pumps, valves, and wiring to deployable shelters using hand and power tools.
  • Recording of materials used and time taken on Job Cards and on the electronic job tracking system.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and read schematic drawings.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Due to projected manufacturing demands, there may be a requirement to work shifts and overtime, when required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an assembly environment where quality and schedule compliance were key.
  • The ability to accurately interpret and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with various other stakeholders.
  • Minimum two years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban, and SMED.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements of export control and security regulations including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearances.
