Our client, a locally-owned Winnipeg success story, has partnered with Stacey Danley at Aplin on the search for In-House Legal Counsel. This newly created role will advise the executive team on a wide range of corporate legal matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate legal matters
  • Liaise with external counsel on matters relating to IP, commercial leasing, and licensing agreements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents
  • Develop legal strategies and mitigate risk to the organization
  • Provide representation in legal proceedings
  • Review contractual relationships and ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Laws/Juris Doctor degree
  • Be in good standing with the Law Society of Manitoba
  • 3+ years of related experience, ideally in corporate law or a similar in-house position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to work independently and adapt to an ever-changing  work environment
