Our client is looking for someone who will be responsible for conducting internal audits, risk assessment, and creating/revising process control documentation. This is a hybrid permanent full-time opportunity and is available to candidates across the Calgary, AB area.

  • Conduct internal audits and/or advisory reviews of controls, processes, and procedures in accordance with risk-based audit plan
  • Perform internal audits in a collaborative manner with the business including risk assessment, planning, objectives, scoping, fieldwork, testing and the delivery and communication of high-quality audit reports to key stakeholders, including senior management and the Audit Committee
  • Coordinate and maintain management’s SOX process controls documentation, review, and test key controls to ensure adequate design and operating effectiveness maintaining a strong relationship with the business
  • Track and follow-up on deficiencies with control owners
  • Consult on changes to the business as a result of the integration of Exterran including system, process and organization changes to assess the impact on SOX controls
  • Continuously work to enhance the SOX program to become more efficient and effective
  • Coordinate SOX testing with external auditors
  • Bachelor’s degree and certification such as CPA, CISA or CIA required
  • 8 + years of experience in financial reporting or internal auditing
  • Capable of confidently and knowledgably leading audit plans and reporting results to leaders across the business
  • Must have prior US SOX 302 and US SOX 404 experience including; strong technical expertise, involvement in planning, scoping and executing testing, remediation, training, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Detail oriented
  • Strong project management skills and experience with an ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieve objectives and meet timelines
  • Strong ability to manage and adapt to change
