Responsibilities:
- The candidate will demonstrate that they are able to read and create technical diagrams
- The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of electrical and electronic controls
- The candidate is expected to demonstrate the safe use of tools and be able to create tools for use where and when required
- The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of power transmission, welding (TIG, Stick), rigging and hoisting, and fluid power
- The candidate is expected to be a contributing member of the maintenance team and can work and address problems whether they be mechanical or electrical and ask for help if required
- The candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed
- The candidate is expected to perform both electrical and mechanical work
- Part of the maintenance department's duty is to set up equipment for production runs the candidate must be able to perform this task
- The candidate is expected to be able to work on any of the three shifts, days, afternoon, and midnight.
- The candidate is expected to be available for at least one shift on the weekend as the plant is running a minimum of 6 days. The candidate's day off may or may not fall on a weekend.
